Training and Safety

Moving a TV CabinetTrain and work for a company with award-winning training!

The management at MiniMovers understands the importance of training. By supplying structured, easy to learn, consistent, professional training to staff you overcome a lot of work associated problems such as:

  • Safety issues
  • Job satisfaction (if you are taught how to do your job to the best of your ability and given the right tools both physically and mentally – job satisfaction is increased dramatically)
  • Growth (training is an important tool in the growth of an employee. Both personally and professionally – being given the training and opportunity to progress along a
structured career path ensures our staff remain enthused and focused)
  • Staff retention (when staff are given good relevant training in a company that shows it cares by its attitude to staff, retention is a very minor problem)

MiniMovers has a very systemised and streamlined training system.

Our training systems have won awards such as:

  • Excellence in Training in the Transport and Distribution Industry from the Australian National Training Association (ANTA)
  • Qld Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Qld Apprenticeship Services “Queensland Training Awards” for Medium Employer of the Year.

JointAction Program

Joint Action

The team from JointAction work closely with all MiniMovers employees to help the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries. They assessed the workload on a few of our men while out on a job using the same GPS technology used by rugby players. The assessment indicated that a typical work day was equivalent to playing a couple of games of rugby!

The JointAction program aims to educate MiniMovers managers and employees about personal health through participating and using their own bodies. We encourage everyone at MiniMovers to do the excercises provided by JointAction for a couple of minutes each day, before and after work which helps to make a positive difference.
