About MiniMovers
The sky is the limit!
In 1985 Mike O'Hagan started Mini Movers with $200 and a Ute. The Company has continually experienced very strong growth and today has a turnover of over $30 million per year and has over 500 employees.
MiniMovers charge on an hourly basis, which is usually the cheapest way to move a short distance. We only do short distance moving covering any size house or office.
In Southeast Queensland, we work between Tweed Heads, Caboolture and Ipswich. MiniMovers opened in Melbourne, Victoria in November 2004 and the growth there is exceeding all expectations.
MiniMovers allow the customer to help so they can save even more... Our happy customers tell others. There are 2 goals at MiniMovers of paramount importance.
1. “creating ecstatically happy customers” is the first goal of ALL the MiniMovers' people.
2. “creating ecstatically happy staff” will continue to make MiniMovers GREAT.
A very major part of MiniMovers' success is the employment of people who “want” a job. Hiring “unskilled” people and providing a very unique and award winning training system is what makes MiniMovers different. Staff are the heart of the organisation.
In 2004, the then Prime Minister, Mr John Howard called in “for coffee” at our Rocklea depot because of our ongoing policy to staffing and conditions.

Mike O’Hagan employs his people, and owns the trucks. Add a multi award winning training system and you have a winning combination with staff. He is opposed to subcontracting and / or franchising. Employment of “good” people is paramount to the success of the business. By making people “buy their job” you immediately limit your choice of the people who are going to service your customers.

Owner, Mike O’Hagan’s recipe for the success of MiniMovers:
Find the need + structure a system + apply with good people + training = happy customers who tell others = an excellent business which continues to grow.
MiniMovers have won many awards and on many occasions have had their training outcomes and systems recognised.
One of our many awards was the 2003 Telstra Queensland Small Business of the year.
Where is MiniMovers going?
We opened our first Sydney depot in December 2007 which has taken off better than expected. In Melbourne, we now have 6 depots after opening there in 2004! We are quite happy to accommodate staff transitions from one state and depot to the next.
...The sky is the limit so join us for the ride of a lifetime.
