MiniMovers In the Community

Victorian Bushfires

MiniMovers have donated time, money and resources during February to those affected by the Victorian bushfires.
At a local level Victorian Area Manager Matt Stansfield was appointed to coordinate MiniMovers efforts.

Matt was in contact with community groups, the CFA and Red Cross over past weeks leading such decisions as making non booked MiniMovers trucks available to transport donated food and clothing. This donation is in addition to the huge contribution from those Victorian operators who volunteered their labour and expertise to pack and drive the trucks. From Brisbane a number of boxes and packing materials were sent down to the community groups in charge of organising and packing donated goods.

A monetary initiative has also been in progress through February where by for every full priced move performed in Victoria MiniMovers donated $5 per hour to the bushfire appeal. Customers presenting a discount voucher were given the opportunity to forgo their discount and instead donate the $5 per hour they would have saved towards the appeal.
To date MiniMovers have booked 168 moves in Victoria through this initiative.

RSPCA Blanket Donation

MiniMovers helped out the RSPCA Fairfield shelter in QLD by donating some old blankets for the animals to sleep on at night. Some of the animals were left with just concrete which would have been absolutely freezing during winter! Now they at least have some cosy, warm blankets to sleep on.
